Detailed Review
The Balsam Hill Stratford Spruce is a 7.5-foot slim artificial tree designed for indoor holiday displays where floor space is limited. Built with a slender 4.5-foot diameter, it gives apartments, narrow entryways, and modern living spaces the full presence of a tall centerpiece without crowding room walkways or furniture arrangements.
Its realistic appearance relies on True Needle foliage spread across more than 2,680 branch tips. This high tip count produces a dense, full profile that closely resembles natural evergreen branches. Setting it up indoors does not require tools thanks to hinged branch construction, and the included tree stand features scratch-proof rubber feet to protect hardwood and delicate flooring surfaces.
Careful shaping is an essential step in getting the tree display-ready. Because it arrives compressed inside a single shipping box, owners must manually fluff and style the branches section by section, working from the bottom upward. The tree comes unlit, giving you full control over how you hang your own string lights, and the package includes protective gloves for shaping along with a dedicated storage bag for packing it away after the holidays.
As an unlit model, it requires you to supply and string your own lights, adding an extra step to decorating. The compression from shipping also means the initial setup will take some time and hands-on effort to fluff each branch tip properly into place.
Verdict: The Balsam Hill Stratford Spruce is an excellent choice for anyone wanting a full-height, lifelike tree tailored for smaller floor plans. If you want a slim unlit tree with included setup accessories and dense foliage, this model fits the bill.
