Detailed Review
The Dexcatly Cat Deterrent & Repellent Spray is a plant-based training aid designed to discourage cats from destructive habits like scratching, chewing, and inappropriate peeing. Supplied in a pack of two 4-ounce bottles, it targets pet owners who need an effective way to establish boundaries around the house without exposing their animals or family members to harsh, toxic chemicals.
Its plant-derived formula produces a fresh scent that felines naturally dislike, creating an invisible boundary that lasts for hours. Indoors, you can apply it directly to sofas, curtains, carpets, tablecloths, cushions, and door edges without worrying about fabric stains or surface damage. Outdoors, it protects car tires, garden beds, patio sets, flower pots, and fences against digging, marking, and wandering.
Using the spray requires no complicated setup. You simply shake the bottle and apply it directly onto the target surface. The formula is safe for kittens, adult cats, and elderly felines, allowing you to adjust the amount of spray based on your cat's age and size. Each bottle features a leak-proof cap, making it practical to store in a bag, car, or suitcase for travel.
As with most training sprays, success depends on consistent application paired with regular training commands rather than a single spray. The listing does not specify the exact plant extracts used beyond being naturally derived, and the compact 4-ounce size may require frequent restocking if you have extensive outdoor areas or multiple rooms to protect.
Verdict: Dexcatly offers a versatile, non-staining deterrent that keeps both indoor furniture and outdoor spaces safe from clawing and marking. It is an excellent choice for pet owners seeking a gentle, plant-based training tool for cats of any age.
