Detailed Review
The Trekassy 60-inch Skycurve Platform Tree Swing is an oversized outdoor swing built to accommodate both children and adults. Standard single-rope swings and small tire swings often leave family members taking turns, but this 60-inch platform provides ample space and a heavy-duty 700-pound weight limit so multiple riders can share the fun at the same time.
A standout element is the curved seat design, which creates a natural cradling effect instead of the flat surface found on traditional platform swings. This dip in the center provides back support and helps keep toddlers, younger kids, or individuals with special needs from sliding off during motion. The platform itself is versatile, allowing riders to sit, lie flat, or stand for a surfing motion.
Durability is handled through a robust steel frame and tight-weave, UV-resistant fabric designed to withstand all weather conditions across the year. Trekassy includes everything needed for installation right in the box, providing two heavy-duty tree straps, adjustable PE ropes with metal rings, and instructions to make backyard tree mounting quick and straightforward.
Because the platform measures a full 60 inches across, you will need a sturdy tree branch and a wide, open clearing in your yard to ensure safe clearance. The tight-weave fabric seat also forms a continuous surface that may require occasional manual clearing of fallen yard debris.
Verdict: The Trekassy 60-inch Skycurve Platform Swing is an excellent choice for families seeking a secure, high-capacity backyard swing. Its cradled design and generous weight limit make it well suited for group play and relaxing outdoors.
