Detailed Review
The FLEXTRIX Silicone Wooden Baby Blocks set is a 10-piece Montessori-style sensory toy designed for babies aged 6 months and older. It solves the challenge of finding early learning toys that offer both tactile comfort and structural stability. Combining a soft food-grade silicone outer layer with a solid beech wood core, these blocks give infants a secure, easy-to-hold surface for stacking, sorting, and open-ended exploration.
Each cube measures 1.7 inches, making them appropriately sized for small hands to pick up, balance, and carry around. Across the set, every block includes six distinct learning themes: animals, numbers, counting, shapes, textures, and engraved patterns. These multi-sided elements give growing babies multiple ways to practice early recognition, language basics, and fine motor coordination.
The construction pairs rounded silicone edges for gentle handling with natural wood for a steady base. To prevent wear from routine play, the learning icons and patterns are laser-engraved directly into the beech wood core rather than printed on the exterior. This design choice helps the visual and tactile details remain clear over time as children sort and match the pieces.
Because this set comes with 10 individual blocks, it works best for introductory activities rather than constructing very tall or elaborate structures. Additionally, the manufacturer does not provide specific instructions regarding washing, submersion, or sanitizing methods for the mixed silicone and wood materials.
Verdict: The FLEXTRIX 10-piece set is a well-built choice for parents and gift-givers seeking engaging, multi-themed stacking blocks for babies 6 months and older. It offers an appealing mix of soft silicone grip and solid beech wood stability for early developmental play.
