Detailed Review
The ZIKUPOL Root Shovel Garden Spade is built for gardeners tackling dense soil, brush clearing, and stubborn root systems. Measuring 46 inches in total length and weighing 4 pounds, it combines manageable handling with heavy-duty construction to simplify difficult digging tasks like trenching, planting, and flower transplanting.
The working end features a 12-inch by 6.7-inch blade crafted from high-strength AISI 1053 carbon steel. A powder-coated finish protects the metal head from rust and corrosion over time. Its unique V-shaped profile and double serrated edges allow you to penetrate hard ground, saw through smaller roots, and cleanly dig out small stumps without disturbing adjacent plants.
For leverage and comfort, the spade uses a fiberglass handle paired with an upgraded PP and TPR grip designed to absorb shock and prevent slipping. A widened footrest on top of the blade includes raised anti-slip patterns, giving you a stable platform to step down with full force when driving into tough ground.
Keep in mind that while the serrated V-blade manages smaller brush and roots efficiently, the listing does not rate it for heavy-duty timber or large tree stumps. The 46-inch shaft is also fixed in size, which may feel short or long depending on user height and working angles.
Verdict: The ZIKUPOL Root Shovel is a dependable choice for homeowners and outdoor workers who need a specialized spade for root cutting, trenching, and general landscaping. Its carbon steel serrated blade and anti-slip footrest provide the exact leverage needed for stubborn ground.
