Detailed Review
The PETSCOSSET Chicken Coop is a mobile tractor habitat designed for backyard poultry keepers who want flexibility. Measuring 77.4 inches long, 25.59 inches wide, and 39.37 inches high, it accommodates 2 to 4 standard chickens, or 4 to 6 birds depending on the breed. Its integrated run and ventilated layout provide an enclosed space where birds can forage outdoors while staying secure.
Mobility is the standout feature of this setup. Dual durable wheels paired with a built-in pull handle let you roll the tractor across your yard to access fresh grass or relocate your flock to shaded spots throughout the day. For egg gathering, a dedicated divided nesting box keeps eggs isolated and clean. Overhead, the main shelter uses a waterproof asphalt roof to block rain, while the attached run features transparent sunshine panels to allow natural light while keeping out wet weather.
Routine maintenance and animal access are straightforward thanks to five distinct entry points around the structure. An oversized slide-out tray sits beneath the main roosting area, allowing you to remove waste quickly without reaching deep inside the enclosure. When it arrives, pre-drilled wooden components help streamline the initial assembly process.
As for limitations, the 77.4-inch footprint is suited primarily for smaller backyard flocks and may not accommodate larger groups of full-sized hens. Buyers should also note that while pre-drilled holes simplify assembly, putting the structure together still requires some time and effort before it can be used.
Verdict: This mobile tractor is an excellent choice for backyard keepers seeking a portable, easy-to-clean enclosure for 2 to 6 birds. Its rolling design and combined weather protection make daily flock management simple and convenient.
