Detailed Review
The FUKUMARU 37.4-Inch Dog Couch provides a dedicated orthopedic sleeping spot for medium to large pets weighing up to 55 pounds. It tackles joint discomfort directly by pairing supportive interior materials with a structured sofa shape. This makes it an attractive choice for senior dogs managing arthritis, large breeds prone to hip dysplasia, or any pet adjusting to a new environment.
Underneath the sleeping surface sits a 4-inch high-resilience egg-crate foam base. This thicker core distributes weight evenly, cushions pressure points, and supports proper spinal alignment during rest. Surrounding the base are raised bolsters on all sides, creating a secure nest that supports dogs who prefer curling up or resting their heads against an edge.
For daily maintenance, the bed includes practical protective details. An integrated waterproof barrier blocks moisture from puppy puddles, senior leaks, or spilled water bowls, keeping the internal foam dry and odor-free. When cleaning is needed, you can unzip and take off the entire chenille and faux rabbit fur cover after removing the foam base and armrest inserts.
Keep in mind that this model is strictly sized for pets up to 55 pounds, so larger dogs will exceed its structural limits. In addition, washing requires you to fully disassemble the armrest inserts and base foam rather than tossing the entire assembled bed into a machine.
Verdict: The FUKUMARU Dog Couch is a well-built resting spot for pets up to 55 pounds who need extra joint support and calming bolster walls. It is an ideal pick for owners of senior dogs or pets recovering from joint stiffness who also want an easy-to-wash, waterproof-protected cover.
