Detailed Review
The woom GO 3 is a 16-inch pedal bike built specifically for children ages 4 to 6 who are moving up from a balance bike. Weighing just 13 lbs., it solves the common struggle of heavy frames that overwhelm small riders. The light aluminum build makes it simple for young kids to control, balance, and maneuver while giving parents an easy bike to carry when needed.
Handling is centered on young rider ergonomics. Wide handlebars and an upright seating position provide stable steering and clear forward visibility. For braking, the bike includes two mini V-brakes sized for small hands, complete with a color-coded rear brake lever that helps beginners learn proper stopping control without confusion.
Safety hardware is integrated directly into the frame design. A built-in steering limiter prevents the handlebars from over-rotating, which helps keep the bike stable and prevents sudden spills. Additionally, a durable chain guard shields fingers and pant legs from grease and pinches, yet detaches easily if you ever need to access the wheel for a flat tire repair.
Because fit is precise, this bike is strictly suited for children with an inseam between 19.1 and 25.2 inches and a total height between 41 and 47 inches. Families will need to measure their child accurately before purchasing, as riders outside these ranges will not fit the geometry comfortably.
Verdict: The woom GO 3 is an ideal first pedal bike for 4- to 6-year-olds ready to transition from a balance bike. Its remarkably low weight, safety limiter, and intuitive hand brakes provide young riders with the confidence and control they need to master pedaling.
