Banister Guard 15ft X 3ft Thick, Balcony Netting for Pets (Black)

The KALYVON Banister Guard is a protective safety net designed to block the open spaces between stair balusters and balcony rails. It serves households with young children and pets by creating a physical barrier across railings, preventing little ones from slipping through and keeping dropped toys from tumbling over the edge.

Built from thick polyester fabric, the netting features a fine 0.5 cm honeycomb mesh. This structure resists tearing and deformation over time while preserving visibility, so you can still see through your balcony or fence. The surface is smooth and bump-free, which helps prevent scrapes or irritation on delicate skin.

Measuring 15 feet long by 3 feet high, the guard suits wide spans on stairs, terraces, and yards. If your space is smaller, you can cut the fabric to match the exact dimensions of your railing. Setup uses the included hardware pack, which features 45 zip ties and 25 fastening ropes that thread directly through the mesh holes for a snug, secure fit.

While the netting provides a reliable physical barrier, the manufacturer notes that it does not replace adult supervision around elevated areas. You will need to inspect the mesh regularly for signs of wear to ensure ongoing safety across indoor and outdoor settings.

Verdict: The KALYVON Banister Guard is a dependable choice for parents and pet owners who need to secure open railing gaps on balconies, stairs, or fences. With generous dimensions, trimmable fabric, and ample mounting ties included, it delivers simple and adaptable home safety.
