Detailed Review
The Odepro KL52 MAX is a dedicated 850nm infrared illuminator built for night hunters using night vision scopes. Because infrared light is invisible to the human eye, it illuminates targets in complete darkness without spooking game. It is designed specifically to support nighttime observation and targeting setups.
Beam control is a major highlight on this model. The zoomable lens lets you switch from a broad floodlight for scanning open fields to a tight spotlight for observing distant targets. Power delivery is managed through a stepless pressure switch, allowing you to fine-tune illumination smoothly between 20% and 100% brightness without cycling through rigid presets.
Built for harsh outdoor environments, the KL52 MAX features durable aluminum construction capable of resisting drops and impacts. An IPX6 waterproof rating ensures it keeps working in heavy rain and strong water splashes. The kit comes ready to mount with an Odepro AS004 adjustable Picatinny mount and an EVA zippered pouch for organized transport.
Buyers should keep in mind that this is not a regular flashlight. To the naked eye, the emitter only appears as a faint red dot, meaning you must have a compatible night vision device to see the beam. Additionally, no standalone lithium batteries are included in the package, so you will need to supply your own compatible power source.
Verdict: The Odepro KL52 MAX is a solid choice for night hunters who already own night vision gear and want a durable, adjustable infrared illuminator. Its stepless dimming, zoomable optic, and included mounting hardware make it a practical field upgrade.
