Detailed Review
The INSIGNIA 24-inch F20 Series Smart Fire TV combines an everyday display with integrated streaming, making it a practical choice for bedrooms, home offices, or kitchens where space is limited. It provides access to over 1.5 million streaming movies and TV episodes across major platforms such as Prime Video, Netflix, Hulu, Disney+, and YouTube directly from the home screen.
Navigation is handled by the included Alexa Voice Remote, which allows you to hold a button to search across apps, launch specific titles, or switch over to connected inputs like cable. For audio, the television features DTS Virtual-X sound to produce a three-dimensional listening experience from the built-in speakers. It also supports HDMI ARC, letting you route audio to a compatible soundbar or AV receiver with a single cable.
Hardware connections are flexible for a compact screen, offering two HDMI ports, composite AV jacks, a digital optical output, a USB port, a headphone jack, a coaxial antenna jack, and built-in Wi-Fi. Parents can also set up viewing restrictions using a custom PIN to block specific channels or content based on program ratings. For mounting, the back panel supports standard 100 x 100 VESA hardware, and the outer packaging is made from FSC-certified paper.
A notable trade-off is the display resolution, which maxes out at 720p HD rather than full 1080p or 4K. With two HDMI inputs, you may also need to swap cables if you plan to connect more than two external video devices at the same time.
Verdict: This compact smart television is ideal for anyone seeking an affordable, all-in-one streaming screen for secondary rooms or tight spaces. If you need a small TV with built-in voice navigation and flexible port options, it delivers strong everyday utility.
