Detailed Review
The Banral K2406 is a compact, multi-mode LED torch designed for everyday carry, outdoor excursions, and hands-on maintenance work. Measuring 5.11 inches long and weighing just 0.37 pounds, it provides a versatile lighting setup that fits into pockets or tool bags without adding bulk.
Light output is highly adaptable thanks to an adjustable zoom mechanism. Pushing or pulling the torch head shifts the output from a broad floodlight to a focused spotlight capable of reaching up to 1,000 meters. The light offers four main output modes (High, Low, Strobe, and SOS) alongside a separate sidelight that delivers White, Red, Blue, and Red/Blue flashing modes. A dual-switch design allows the main beam and sidelight to run at the same time, while a three-second long press turns the unit off from any setting without cycling through every mode.
For work environments like automotive repair or industrial maintenance, a strong magnetic base at the tail attaches to metal surfaces to keep your hands free. Charging takes three hours over a built-in Type-C port, with color-coded indicators showing red during charging and green when full. On its lowest output setting, the battery provides up to 12 hours of continuous run time.
While the torch delivers significant beam distance, the manufacturer does not state the exact lumen ratings for the individual output modes, and achieving the full 12-hour runtime requires using the low setting. The body is built from aircraft-grade aluminum alloy with water resistance, an anti-slip finish, and a 1.5-meter drop test rating to handle rough daily handling.
Verdict: The Banral K2406 is a practical, durable choice for campers, technicians, and anyone needing a reliable everyday carry light. Its combination of a long-distance beam, versatile sidelight signals, and magnetic mounting makes it a dependable tool for diverse tasks.
