Detailed Review
The Madd Gear Pro Stunt Trick Scooter is an entry-level freestyle scooter designed specifically for kids ages 5 to 12. Built for beginners who want to learn moves at the local skatepark or ride around neighborhood sidewalks, it provides a solid foundation for mastering basic maneuvers like barspins and tail whips.
Its construction balances strength and maneuverability. Madd Gear pairs a lightweight extruded aluminum deck with a rugged, one-piece steel T-bar. This combination gives young riders the structural durability needed to practice landing tricks repeatedly without adding excessive bulk that could make handling difficult.
For rolling performance, the scooter uses 100mm 88A polyurethane wheels fitted with ABEC-5 bearings. This setup ensures a fast, stable roll across multiple hard surfaces, including park ramps, concrete, and paved streets. Madd Gear backs the build with a 3-year manufacturer warranty handled by its US-based customer support team.
Because it is built around a fixed one-piece steel T-bar, the handlebar height cannot be adjusted as a child grows. The scooter is strictly scaled for younger riders up to age 12, and the product data does not list a specific maximum rider weight capacity or total scooter weight.
Verdict: The Madd Gear Pro Stunt Trick Scooter is a dependable, well-supported choice for kids ages 5 to 12 starting out with freestyle scooter tricks. It delivers the right blend of durable materials, smooth rolling hardware, and reassuring warranty support.
