Detailed Review
The WONNIE 12-inch Dual Car DVD Player system equips back-seat passengers with independent entertainment during road trips. Each unit houses its own disc drive, meaning two riders can watch entirely different movies at the same time. If passengers want to share a single movie, the included AV cable links both units together with a quick press of the mode button.
Playback covers standard DVDs, CDs, and all-region discs, along with media on USB flash drives formatted in FAT32 up to 32GB. For audio, each screen includes built-in stereo speakers and a dedicated headphone jack for quiet listening. Power is flexible: built-in rechargeable batteries deliver up to 5 hours of separate viewing or 2.5 hours of synced playback, while the included 12V 2-in-1 car charger and AC wall adapter keep things running indefinitely.
Vehicle setup is straightforward thanks to two included mounting options: custom rigid brackets for stable viewing on bumpy roads, and traditional headrest straps. The clamshell disc loading design means you do not have to unmount the player to swap a disc. A last-memory resume function automatically remembers where playback paused, and an RCA cable allows output directly to a home TV or projector.
Keep in mind that the system does not support Blu-ray discs, MP4 video files, or Bluetooth wireless audio. USB playback is also limited to 720x576 resolution files. Additionally, the on-unit volume buttons share fast-forward and rewind functions: short presses adjust playback speed while holding the button changes sound levels, which requires using the remote to avoid accidentally skipping scenes.
Verdict: This dual-screen set is an ideal choice for families wanting flexible back-seat entertainment with the freedom to watch independent discs or share a single screen. As long as you rely on standard DVDs, wired headphones, and compatible USB video files, it provides reliable road trip viewing.
