Detailed Review
The TDCHINGES 3.5-inch Door Hinges 12-Pack provides solid iron hardware designed to hang interior and exterior doors, cabinets, and outdoor outbuildings. Sized at 3.5 by 3.5 inches with 5/8-inch rounded corners and a six-hole layout, this full-mortise set gives renovators enough matching pieces to update several doors throughout a home or commercial building at once.
Daily operation relies on a plain bearing mechanism treated with aerospace-grade lubricant that withstands temperatures up to 250°C. This high-temp property prevents oil from melting and running down door faces during hot summer conditions. Each hinge allows up to 270 degrees of rotation, letting doors swing wide without binding. The removable riveted pins give you extra flexibility whenever you need to unmount a door without unscrewing the base plates.
Setup is straightforward thanks to the included 72 mounting screws. The extra screw length is especially helpful when replacing older hardware, providing a firmer grip inside pre-existing screw holes. These hinges work across residential spaces like bedrooms, bathrooms, and kitchens, as well as exterior structures like sheds, shutters, and pet shelters.
Before buying, verify your door prep matches the 5/8-inch rounded corner profile, as square-corner mortises will require extra chisel work. The pack comes strictly in a matte black finish, and the listing notes that hinges using damping oil can be difficult to dismantle if you prefer taking hardware completely apart for DIY tasks.
Verdict: This 12-pack is a great choice for homeowners and facility managers outfitting multiple doors with unified matte black hardware. The combination of heat-resistant lubricant, 270-degree movement, and included long screws makes it a dependable, mess-free option for whole-house updates.
