Detailed Review
The Barbie DreamHouse Pool Party Doll House is a large, multi-level playset designed for children ages 3 years and older. It offers an open, 360-degree layout across ten distinct play zones, including a kitchen, living room, dining room, bedroom, bathroom, closet, bonus room, balcony, pool, and a massive spiral slide. This setup is built for kids who enjoy detailed storytelling and want enough space to play alongside friends or siblings.
The centerpiece of this playset is the three-story spiral slide that empties directly into the pool, letting dolls glide all the way from the upper levels down to the water. Alongside the slide, the house features a working elevator that is wheelchair-accessible, an outdoor swing, and a top-floor balcony complete with a palm tree. Pet lovers get dedicated animal zones as well, including a puppy figure, pet elevator, pet slide, pet pool, pet house, doggie door, and pet bed.
Indoor areas are packed with interactive and transforming elements. Integrated lights and sounds are built into the kitchen and bathroom, creating realistic cues during play. When it is time for a sleepover, the living room console transforms into a bed setup with a starry backdrop, which combines with the bedroom pull-out bed to provide sleeping space for four dolls at once. The package also includes over 75 storytelling pieces, giving kids a full collection of furniture and accessories right out of the box.
Because dolls are not included in the box, you will need to provide your own Barbie figures to use the slide, elevator, and furniture. The large open format and 360-degree layout also mean the house requires a dedicated footprint in a playroom or bedroom so kids can walk around and access every side easily.
Verdict: This playset is an excellent choice for families looking for an expansive, feature-packed dollhouse with lots of interactive elements and pet accessories. It provides plenty of variety for kids ages 3 and up who already have Barbie dolls ready to move in.
