Detailed Review
The Mattel Disney and Pixar Toy Story Roarin' Laughs Rex is an interactive dinosaur figure designed for fans wanting an expressive, movie-accurate character. It brings the nervous green dinosaur to life through built-in audio and mechanical movement, making it a great match for young kids engaged in imaginative play.
Standing at about 10.8 inches tall, 15 inches long, and 6 inches wide, this large-scale figure offers a noticeable presence in the playroom. Its size allows small hands to easily grasp, pose, and maneuver the toy. The figure includes movable joints for versatile posing, while its signature short arms move comically whenever Rex speaks his 40-plus movie phrases and sounds.
A notable trade-off is the initial setup. Because Rex is too large for standard packaging, one leg and the tail require one-time attachment out of the box. Once snapped into place, this assembly is permanent, meaning the figure cannot be broken down again to fit back into its original retail box. Additionally, the listing does not specify what battery type powers the audio features.
Verdict: The Roarin' Laughs Rex is a fun, character-rich option for Toy Story fans ages 4 and up. If you want a large, interactive dinosaur with recognizable dialogue and movable parts, this figure fits the bill.
