Detailed Review
The Pioneer DMH-130BT is a 2-DIN digital media receiver designed to modernize your in-car audio and connectivity. It replaces dated factory head units with a 6.8-inch capacitive touchscreen that provides clear visual controls for hands-free calling, music streaming, and dash customization.
Bluetooth functionality handles wireless audio playback and phone calls directly from your mobile device. For voice assistance, you can access Amazon Alexa by downloading both the Vozsis and Weblink apps on your Apple iOS or Android smartphone. The unit also allows visual personalization, offering 5 display colors, over 100 illumination choices, and custom background image settings to match your vehicle's interior lighting.
For added convenience on the road, this receiver includes input support for a rear-view backup camera to assist when reversing. Measuring 7 inches wide, 3.875 inches high, and 4.375 inches deep, it fits into standard double-DIN dashboard slots, though professional installation is recommended to ensure proper setup.
One trade-off is that using Alexa requires keeping two third-party mobile applications installed on your phone rather than built-in direct connectivity. Additionally, while the system supports a backup camera, the camera hardware itself is an add-on that must be sourced separately.
Verdict: The Pioneer DMH-130BT is a dependable choice for drivers who want a clean double-DIN touchscreen upgrade with Bluetooth, camera readiness, and app-based Alexa support. It works best for anyone looking to refresh their dashboard interface without unnecessary complexity.
