GWN7605LR | Outdoor Long Range Wi-Fi 5 Access Point | Power Adapter

The Grandstream GWN7605LR is an outdoor long-range Wi-Fi 5 access point designed to deliver reliable wireless connectivity across wide open spaces. It solves the challenge of weak exterior network signals by pairing a durable outdoor build with an expansive broadcast range of up to 250 meters. This makes it a practical option for properties, commercial yards, or hospitality spaces needing dependable exterior coverage.

Equipped with dual-band 2x2:2 MU-MIMO and beam-forming technology, the unit provides up to 1.27Gbps aggregate wireless throughput alongside two Gigabit wireline ports. It supports more than 100 concurrent client devices, while advanced Quality of Service (QoS) prioritizes low-latency applications in real time. For installation flexibility, the unit features self-power adaptation that automatically detects PoE or PoE+ feeds, and it includes two detachable, changeable antennas to adapt to specific coverage scenarios.

Managing the network is straightforward thanks to multiple deployment options. An embedded controller can handle up to 50 local GWN access points, while GWN.Cloud supports unlimited access points and GWN Manager provides on-premise software management. Device security is reinforced by an anti-hacking secure boot system and critical data and control lockdown.

As a trade-off, this model uses Wi-Fi 5 (802.11ac Wave-2) architecture rather than newer generation Wi-Fi standards. Additionally, the listing does not provide specific weatherproofing ratings or operating temperature limits, so you will need to rely on the general outdoor designation for placement planning.

Verdict: The Grandstream GWN7605LR is a reliable, high-capacity outdoor wireless solution for users managing sprawling exterior spaces with heavy device traffic. It is an excellent choice for network administrators and property owners seeking versatile long-range connectivity with flexible management options.
