Detailed Review
The Nicpro 17-piece drafting set delivers five 2mm metal mechanical pencils paired with a wide range of lead refills and accessories in a genuine leather case. Designed for artists, students, teachers, and professionals, it provides a complete drawing and writing toolkit that avoids the need to purchase erasers, leads, or sharpeners separately.
Each pencil is constructed from metal with a textured, anti-skidding threaded grip for steady handling during long drawing sessions. The pencil barrels feature a gradient of colors ranging from white to black, allowing you to assign and identify different lead hardnesses at a glance. Every cap includes an integrated sharpener, while the kit supplies two additional standalone lead sharpeners and a file board to quickly restore fine points.
The set provides substantial media options, including 60 graphite leads measuring 120mm across 4B, 2B, HB, 2H, and 4H hardness grades, along with a 36-count tube of assorted colored leads. For corrections and blending, Nicpro includes both a 4B soft eraser and a kneaded eraser. Everything packs neatly into a 7.5 by 5 by 1 inch zippered leather pouch equipped with independent pen slots and an internal net pocket for accessories.
As a trade-off, this kit focuses exclusively on the 2.0mm lead format, so those who prefer fine 0.5mm or 0.7mm lines without sharpening will need to look elsewhere. Additionally, the compact genuine leather case is designed specifically for the included tools and small accessories, leaving no room for full-sized sketchpads.
Verdict: This Nicpro set is an excellent, comprehensive option for artists, students, and drafters who want sturdy 2mm metal lead holders with extensive graphite grades, colored leads, and organized leather storage.
