Detailed Review
The LASTAR Sun Lamp is a compact daylight-mimicking light designed to fit onto crowded desks, kitchen counters, or vanities. It delivers up to 10,000 lux of full-spectrum brightness, making it a dedicated desktop companion for anyone looking to boost focus, energy, and mood during the day or balance their sleep cycles.
Daily customization is straightforward thanks to five brightness steps (5%, 10%, 40%, 70%, and 100%) controlled via a sun-shaped button. You can also toggle between four distinct color temperatures: an extra-warm 1600K, a warm 3000K, a neutral 4500K, and a daylight-level 6500K. The built-in memory function retains your preferred setup between sessions.
The unit runs on a 12W array of 60 evenly spaced, glare-free LEDs that omit UV light and other polluting radiation. For structured sessions, the lamp includes an auto-off timer that you can set in 15-minute steps up to 60 minutes, ensuring it turns off automatically when your timed routine finishes.
Because it measures just 5.3 by 4.7 by 2.0 inches, the light panel is quite small, meaning you will need to sit relatively close to get the full 10,000 lux dosage. In addition, the listing does not detail whether it includes a wall adapter or runs via USB.
Verdict: The LASTAR Sun Lamp is an adaptable, space-saving choice for users who want customizable color temperatures and timer-controlled light sessions on a small tabletop. It fits nicely into compact workspaces or morning routines where a large light box would be cumbersome.
