LegendFlame 50" W Austin in Wall Recessed & Wall Mounted Electric Fireplace

The LegendFlame Austin 50-Inch Electric Fireplace is designed for homeowners and apartment dwellers looking to add warmth and visual appeal to a living room, office, or entertainment center. It offers a practical way to enjoy the atmosphere of a fire without traditional maintenance, giving you the choice between hanging the unit on the wall or recessing it directly into an enclosure.

Visual customization is central to the unit. It includes both a traditional log set and contemporary crystal stones, allowing you to swap fuel beds to match your room decor. You can tailor the atmosphere with multicolor flame settings, five levels of brightness, and built-in crackling audio effects. Because the visual effects and sound work independently of the heating element, you can run the ambience during warmer seasons without warming up the room.

For heating, the unit features an upper front blower with central heat outlets and side air inlets. It offers two power levels, operating at 750W on low and 1500W on high, managed by an integrated thermostat and countdown timer. Operation is straightforward, featuring touch screen controls that dim out after several seconds of inactivity, alongside a concealed main power switch for an uncluttered front panel.

While the fireplace provides supplemental warmth, the manufacturer notes that it cannot function as a primary heat source for a home. Installation requires a dedicated 120V, 15A electrical supply, and buyers must choose between standard plug-in use and direct hardwiring. The unit is also strictly rated for indoor use only.

Verdict: The LegendFlame Austin 50-Inch fireplace is a reliable pick for anyone seeking versatile mounting options and customizable visual effects for supplemental room warmth.
