Detailed Review
This police station building kit offers a comprehensive project for adults who enjoy detailed construction and crime-themed displays. With 2,923 pieces, it provides hours of mindful assembly, transforming individual bricks into an elaborate, multi-level story center.
The interior design focuses heavily on investigative details. Builders assemble a detective-style case board complete with authentic red lines connecting clues, an evidence locker, a reel-to-reel audio recorder, and a secure jail cell. These storytelling elements bring the model to life, making the finished structure fun to explore beyond the initial build.
Novel building techniques and specialized elements stand out throughout the exterior and interior. The kit incorporates two pieces in an ultra-rare nougat color, an inverted two-color arch, and four blank animal-head pieces cleverly repurposed to create cornice trim. Custom printed tiles depicting a typewriter, telephone, and billboard eliminate the need for stickers while adding period flair.
As a display-focused set with nearly three thousand pieces, it requires a significant time commitment to complete and a dedicated area to display. The product listing does not provide final exterior measurements, so builders will need to plan display space carefully.
Verdict: This set is an excellent match for adult hobbyists and true-crime enthusiasts looking for an intricate, display-worthy build. Its clever piece usage, vintage accessories, and included minifigures deliver a deeply satisfying creative experience.
