Detailed Review
The Aiyard 5-Inch 120-Grit Sanding Discs pack provides a high-volume supply of abrasive discs designed for standard 5-inch random orbit sanders. With 100 discs in a single box, it solves the problem of constantly running out of abrasive pads during medium-grit smoothing jobs on wood, metal, and composite surfaces.
Each disc features fused alumina grain combined with a flexible binder designed to prevent early cracking and improve wear resistance. The gold abrasive surface handles demanding materials ranging from fiberglass, stone, and rubber to painted surfaces, aluminum alloy, and non-ferrous metals. An integrated hook and loop backing ensures strong grip during active sanding while allowing fast, peel-and-stick disc changes.
Keep in mind that this box contains only 120-grit sandpaper, so you will need to look elsewhere if your project requires a full progression through coarse and fine grits. Compatibility is also limited specifically to 5-inch random orbital sanders that match the pre-punched 8-hole dust collection layout.
Verdict: This 100-pack is a practical choice for woodworkers and DIYers who frequently use 120-grit paper with a 5-inch random orbit sander. It offers reliable material compatibility and convenient dust collection for large ongoing projects.
