Detailed Review
The CRAFTSMAN V20 Cordless Drill/Driver Kit (CMCD700C1) is an all-in-one power tool setup designed for everyday drilling and driving tasks around the house or workshop. Built with a motor capable of producing 280 unit watts out, this kit provides a dependable drilling solution right out of the box with an included battery and charger.
Speed and versatility come from the two-speed gearbox, which operates at 0-350 RPM for controlled fastening or 0-1,500 RPM for faster drilling. The 1/2-inch keyless chuck simplifies workflow by letting you change out bits by hand, while the onboard LED light illuminates dim work spots directly in front of the tool.
Keep in mind that this package includes a single 20V MAX battery, meaning you will need to pause tasks if the pack runs down during extended projects, though the included charger restores power in 60 minutes or less. In addition, the drill is compatible with the Versatrack hang hook system, but the actual hook is not listed as included.
Verdict: This kit is a practical choice for homeowners and DIYers who need a reliable, variable-speed drill with fast charging and a 3-year limited warranty for standard household repairs and assemblies.
