WaterHog Boxwood Front Door Mat Indoor Outdoor Entrance, All-Weather Mats

The WaterHog Boxwood Front Door Mat is an all-weather entryway barrier designed to capture dirt and moisture before it reaches your living spaces. Sized at approximately 23 by 36 inches, this mat suits both residential thresholds and light commercial entryways where foot traffic brings in rain and outdoor grit.

Its performance relies on a bi-level surface with a ridged floral pattern and a dedicated rubber border. This combination can hold up to 1 gallon of water per square yard, and the structured design resists crushing under regular foot traffic. Construction features PET fiber tops made with up to 90% recycled content, paired with a heavy-duty backing that includes 20% recycled SBR rubber.

The backing is skid-resistant, supported by the National Floor Safety Institute, and safe for concrete, natural stone, ceramic and porcelain tile, and hardwood. At a low 3/8-inch thickness, the mat easily clears low-swinging doors, avoiding bunching or jamming when placed directly inside an entryway or outside on a porch.

When it comes to trade-offs, the manufacturing process allows for a 3% size variance, so exact dimensions may fluctuate slightly from the 23 by 36-inch mark. In addition, while the rubber backing suits most hard surfaces, owners with vinyl flooring need to check their specific flooring manufacturer's care guidelines prior to placement.

Verdict: This mat is a solid choice for anyone seeking a durable, moisture-trapping solution that stays firmly in place across multiple floor types. If you need reliable water containment and simple hose-down maintenance, it is well worth adding to your doorway.
