Detailed Review
The Eggboards Mini Longboard provides the cruising feel of a full-sized board in an ultra-portable 19-inch format. Designed in San Francisco, this compact cruiser solves the hassle of lugging bulky skateboards on public transit or carrying them into crowded spaces. It suits commuters, college students, beginners, and experienced riders looking for an agile board that fits directly into a locker or backpack.
Despite its small footprint, the board uses components typically reserved for larger setups. It features 7-inch trucks paired with soft 76A longboard wheels, allowing riders to roll smoothly over road bumps and sidewalk cracks without harsh vibrations. The deck is crafted from 6 full plies of robust bamboo wood, which is built to resist chipping over time unlike standard maple constructions.
Handling is centered around its distinct egg-shaped profile and tailored grip tape. This wider, rounded shape delivers the necessary leverage for carving and freestyle maneuvers while keeping your footing secure. High-speed bushings and wheels round out the hardware, providing balanced control whether you are just learning or cruising at higher speeds.
Because the deck measures only 19 inches, riders used to standard longboards will notice a significantly narrower stance and less overall standing area. Additionally, the provided specifications do not list the exact weight capacity or total board weight, which may require heavier riders to proceed with caution.
Verdict: The Eggboards Mini Longboard is a dependable, highly portable cruiser for skaters who need full-sized carving performance in a travel-friendly size. It is an ideal pick for students, daily commuters, and casual cruisers seeking a tough bamboo build that easily stashes away.
