Detailed Review
The Klein Tools 935RB Torpedo Level is an 8-inch measuring tool designed for electricians, pipefitters, and tradespeople who need fast, accurate readings on the jobsite. Built with an all-aluminum billet body, it is structured to handle demanding daily use while offering convenient pocket portability thanks to its tapered nose design.
Measurement flexibility comes from four large, high-visibility vials set at level, 90, 45, and 30 degrees. A built-in top-view vial window makes it easy to read angles from overhead or awkward positions, while the high-visibility orange finish helps you spot the tool quickly against conduit and cluttered work areas.
For metal and pipe work, the level includes a patented magnet track that prevents its Rare-Earth magnets from falling out over time. The base also features a contoured V-groove that seats securely against round surfaces, keeping the level stable when working on conduit or piping.
As an 8-inch torpedo level, it is made for portability and working in tight quarters rather than spanning long structural distances. The tool relies entirely on manual bubble vials, so users needing digital degree readouts or extended leveling lengths will need a different tool type.
Verdict: The Klein Tools 935RB is a dependable choice for tradespeople working with conduit, piping, and metal surfaces. Its four angle vials, strong Rare-Earth magnets, and durable billet aluminum body deliver practical utility in a pocket-friendly size.
