Detailed Review
The San Jamar Light Duty 6-Gallon Ice Bucket is built for transporting and managing bulk ice in commercial environments like bars, restaurants, catering setups, and party drink stations. Holding up to 25 pounds of ice, this tote helps staff move large quantities in fewer trips, keeping back-of-house operations running smoothly.
Constructed from lightweight polypropylene plastic, the container retains its shape under pressure during daily service. It features dual-grip handles for controlled carrying and pouring, along with a recessed bottom that keeps the bucket steady on countertops or prep tables to prevent shifts and spills while scooping.
For storage between tasks, the tote includes an integrated Handi-Hook. This feature allows you to hang the unit near ice machines, on utility carts, or along back-of-house walls, saving valuable floor and shelf space.
Because this model is rated for light-duty use, it may not suit environments that require heavy impact resistance. The product listing also does not mention an included lid, which may be a consideration for outdoor transport.
Verdict: The San Jamar 6-Gallon Ice Bucket is a practical choice for catering staff, bartenders, and kitchen teams needing a stable, high-capacity ice tote with convenient hanging storage.
