Amazon Basics Steel Security Safe Box with Digital Keypad, for Valuables, Cash,

The AmazonBasics Steel Security Safe Box provides a dedicated 1-cubic-foot secure space to lock away cash, important paperwork, and personal valuables. It serves everyday home or office storage needs by keeping sensitive items out of sight and protected behind solid steel construction.

Daily access runs through a reprogrammable electronic lock, allowing you to set a custom code on the keypad. Behind the 2-inch thick door, the security setup relies on two live-door bolts alongside concealed hinges designed to resist prying. If the batteries drain or you forget the combination, two emergency override keys are included to ensure you are never locked out of your belongings.

Inside, the safe features a carpeted floor to protect fragile valuables against scuffs and scratches. Storage space is flexible thanks to an interior shelf that you can adjust or remove entirely when you need to fit taller items. The safe weighs 23.98 pounds and comes with four mounting bolts so you can firmly anchor it to a floor, wall, or closet shelf.

Keep in mind that the electronic lock requires four AA batteries to operate, which do not come included in the package. You will need to supply your own batteries during initial setup before programming the entry code.

Verdict: This steel safe is a dependable choice for anyone needing organized, code-protected storage for small valuables and documents. It offers solid physical protection, flexible interior shelving, and the peace of mind of backup physical keys.
