Detailed Review
The Willow Tree Around You Cake Topper is a 5.5-inch sculpted figure designed to crown wedding or anniversary cakes and transition into a permanent display piece. Cast from an original carving by artist Susan Lordi in Kansas City, Missouri, the hand-painted resin piece depicts an intimate couple seated across from each other, touching heads and hands. The man appears in a cream shirt with dark pants, while the woman wears a cream dress with a full skirt.
Functionally, the sculpture is affixed to a wide base of carved white roses that offers steady placement on flat frosted surfaces. The paint and resin materials are tested for food safety and are completely lead-free, allowing it to sit atop food safely. It also arrives packed in a fitted box alongside an enclosure card reading '...just the nearness of you', making it simple to present as a gift.
Care requirements are the main factor to keep in mind. Because the paint is not waterproof, the figure cannot be washed in a sink or submerged in water. Cleaning requires wiping only the bottom of the base with a lightly damp cloth after removing it from the cake.
Verdict: This piece is an excellent pick for couples wanting a sentimental, artistic topper for a wedding or anniversary that safely decorates a cake and serves as a decorative keepsake for years to come.
