Detailed Review
The Coop Home Goods Original Adjustable Pillow is a king-size bed pillow designed to end the frustration of fixed-height bedding. By allowing you to open the pillow and alter the internal volume, it suits back, stomach, and side sleepers who need a specific thickness to maintain proper alignment throughout the night.
At the center of this design is Coop's proprietary Oomph fill, a combination of cut-out memory foam and plush microfiber. Unlike pillows that rely on repurposed foam scraps, this model uses freshly manufactured foam to provide consistent, adaptive support. Surrounding the fill is a soft, breathable Lulltra fabric cover that helps keep your sleeping surface comfortable.
Customizing the height and feel is straightforward. You can unzip the cover and take out fill for a lower, softer profile, or insert extra material if you prefer a firmer, taller cushion. Each pillow also includes an additional bag of fill in the box, ensuring you have enough material on hand to achieve a high-loft build.
Because the interior relies on cut memory foam, ambient room temperature directly affects the initial feel. Cooler bedroom environments can cause the material to feel noticeably firmer, requiring you to adjust the fill amount or let it adapt to room warmth. Additionally, the listing does not mention specific laundering instructions for the cover or inner lining.
Verdict: The Coop Original Pillow is an excellent choice for anyone who struggles with one-size-fits-all bedding. Its customizable interior, included extra fill, and clean safety certifications make it easy to tailor to any sleeping position.
